Our Commitment to Sustainability, Inclusion, and Integrity
At The Dragon People, an eDist.com Company, we help clinicians and health organizations work smarter with speech and AI, while operating as responsible stewards of people, data, and our coastal community. ESG isn’t an add-on; it’s how we work every day with clients and teammates.
Our Four Pillars
1) Environmental Stewardship — Protecting Estero Bay
We anchor our environmental efforts where many of our partners live and work.
What our Senior Management does
- Support the restoration and conservation of Estero Bay, Florida, including funding, volunteering, and awareness—often in collaboration with FLERAF.ORG.
- Prefer vendors with measurable environmental practices and lower footprints.
- Reduce our own footprint through digital-first delivery, efficient travel, and responsible office operations.
2025–2027 targets
- Annual contributions (funding + in-kind hours) to Estero Bay projects.
- Year-over-year reductions in non-essential travel and office waste.
- Publish a brief annual summary of environmental actions and outcomes.
2) Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) — A Practice Where Everyone Belongs
We serve diverse clinicians and patients—our team and methods must reflect that reality.
What we do
- Inclusive hiring: Structured interviews, diverse candidate slates, skills-based assessments, accessible job postings.
- Pay equity & advancement: Annual compensation reviews, transparent leveling, and clear growth paths for all roles.
- Training built for everyone: Plain-language materials, closed-captioned videos, accessible formats, and culturally sensitive examples in clinician enablement.
- Learning & voice: Ongoing DEI/anti-bias training, listening sessions, and anonymous feedback channels.
- Supplier diversity: Track and grow spend with diverse-owned vendors (e.g., women-owned, minority, veteran-owned).
2025–2027 targets
- Annual pay-equity analysis with remediation steps.
- Broaden representation in hiring pipelines and promotion slates.
- 100% completion of DEI/anti-bias training annually.
- Year-over-year growth in diverse-supplier spend.
3) Social Responsibility — Investing in Clinicians, Patients & Community
Our work supports better care and better careers.
What we do
- Deliver empathetic, outcome-oriented training that respects clinician time and improves patient documentation quality.
- Provide team learning courses, certifications, and mentorship to grow careers in health & tech services.
- Fund Endowed Scholarship support for marine research at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU)—building future scientists and community leaders focused on the Gulf Coast and Estero Bay.
- Encourage volunteerism with paid time for eligible community projects.
2025–2027 targets
- Report participation in professional development and mentoring; increase volunteer hours year over year.
- Maintain or increase contributions to FGCU marine-research scholarships and student opportunities.
- Publish an annual culture snapshot (engagement themes, development participation, retention).
4) Governance with Integrity — Privacy & Compliance by Design
Healthcare demands trust. We meet that with strong governance, security awareness, and audit-ready practices.
What we do
- Safeguard PHI and confidential information with privacy-first workflows, role-based access, and required security training for all delivery staff.
- Maintain Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) when applicable and align operations to industry best practices (e.g., HIPAA administrative/technical safeguards).
- Follow brand/claims governance and keep audit-ready documentation across our programs (proofs of performance, approvals, change logs).
- Vet critical suppliers for data protection, availability, and compliance posture via our Vendor Code of Conduct.
Note: We do not claim certifications unless explicitly stated; we align with recognized standards and client requirements.
2025–2027 targets
- 100% completion of annual privacy & security training.
- Audit-ready documentation for applicable client programs.
- Annual ESG/DEI & risk review at the leadership level, with published highlights.
How We Measure Progress
We track a concise set of metrics and share a yearly update:

- Social: Training satisfaction (clinician CSAT), development participation, volunteer hours, and FGCU scholarship support.
- Governance: Security-training completion, BAA coverage where applicable, and audit readiness of program artifacts.
